AAPCA1 Child Abuse Prevention, Education and Treatment Committee (CAPET) advocates for children’s health. Our mission is to promote the optimal health and development of the children and adolescents of Northern and Central California in partnership with their families and communities, and to support the pediatricians who care for them. We strive to improve care and outcomes of children and families through the prevention, education, and treatment of child abuse and neglect. The ACEs Health Champions Network (AHCN) supports pediatricians in a uniquely collaborative and multidisciplinary manner. The up-to-date monthly AHCN Gatherings and discussions available anytime and anyplace to pediatricians, clinics and hospitals are tools to deliver trauma-informed and resilient care.
